Take this gamble to explore the remote Nevada Mountains
3 day Dual Sport Challenge
Hey if you can't go for 3 days then plan for 2 and pick the best 2 out of 3 rides
Ride Description
This is a three day ride to explore some remote corners of Nevada. This ride is for intermediate and advanced riders only. There is a mix of scenic stuff and some singletrack and optional tough stuff. Part of this ride is explorer in nature; be prepared for anything. The ride is a mix of old mining roads, some single track, some old race course sections, and some scenic back dirt roads. You will need a GPS. Yes, there are Hard and Easy options and some unknown options!
Sidebar For Fun: This ride is based in part on the Famous Nevada 200, a 32 year old motorcycle trail ride and race. The other part is based on what I have learned here myself over the last several years. Thanks " Best in the Desert" for posting an image that I bet you thought no one could use to decipher the gps. Anyway, score! I have found more cool stuff

About the Caliente Area
This is a great remote area of Nevada that is a mix of high desert and mountains. You can find everything here, from forest riding to fast desert washes. If you have never been here before, you will understand why people drive so far just to get here. And because it is remote, it is not whooped out or crowded.
Kind of like riding in much of Baja

Notes: I suggest you plan and order early. Normally I ship within a week. But sometimes I run out and it can take me several weeks to get new cards and maps. And sometimes I am out riding and building new adventures so that can be hard too. I list the Option for 2 SD cards because many riders like to carry a backup card or a cheap backup GPS in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

Video from last year's similar ride from Vaudois. Thanks man!

OK since many of you like to study more detail about the ride, below are the ride maps.
I put these ride maps on the web page because I know a few of you love looking at the ride detail and dreaming about the ride. At first glance these maps do not look so impressive, but they are way cool. If you start zooming in, you can see the ride in incredible detail. I have spent a ton of hours sorting through the details of the ride for each day, so for those of you that enjoy this sort of thing, well enjoy!
